Changing the standard of job demands analysis.
Built by Canadian occupational therapists through ongoing research and clinical partnership, the CoBS-JDA documents what existing tools leave behind: the cognitive, behavioural, and sensory demands of work.

THE PROBLEM WE ARE SOLVING
Occupational disability is increasingly driven by cognitive and mental health challenges, yet the tools used to document job demands rarely capture these dimensions in a rigorous or consistent way.
Current job demands analysis tools focus on physical requirements. Cognitive, behavioural, and sensory demands are often under-documented, inconsistently described, or left entirely to individual clinical judgment without a shared framework.

The result: poor person-environment-occupation fit, delayed return-to-work, and missed opportunities for meaningful accommodation. Unfortunately important decisions are commonly being made about a person's capacity to participate in work based on clinicians' assumptions about job demands, basic job descriptions, and generalized information about job categories.

The CoBS-JDA was built to close this gap.

Our vision is to reduce occupational disability and engage people in meaningful work that fits their abilities by making cognitive, behavioural and sensory job demands analyses an achievable industry standard.
Our Team.
We came together around a shared goal: to fill an identified gap in assessment and create a tool that could improve our ability to match people with work that fits. A few years, thousands of work hours, countless Zoom meetings, feedback sessions, research, and a lot of problem dissection later, we have created something we believe will change how non-physical job demands are understood and documented in rehabilitation practice.

The CoBS-JDA is only the beginning for our team at SkillSync Technologies.
